Dear LATS Member colleagues,
Welcome to the November-December 2007 Newsletter.
First of all, we would like to talk to you regarding one important point for our Society. As you know, LATS financial situation depends mainly on the payment of fees by the Active and Associate members.
You can easily pay off your debt through LATS web page.
1) If you wish to pay your 2008 Membership dues, access LATS web page (http://www.lats.org) and through the menu on the left of the front page type your username and password to open the payment form. Complete the form with the information requested. You can also click on Members only and search for Membership dues.
2) If you want to know about your previous debt, find out your account balance on Balance Statement section. Access LATS web page, select Members Only and login your username and password. Then search for the option Balance Statement and your annual fee and balance will be displayed. You can print the extract.
3) To pay previous years’ fees, select Members Only, login your username and password and access Other Payments. Choose the payment option that you desire and fill out the requested information.
If you have forgotten your password access to the restricted area, please send an e-mail to Celia Lima at: calima@lats.org
We strongly encourage you to pay current and previous years. If you owe fees for many years, you can pay each year at a time.
Unfortunately, members who have not regularized their membership dues will be suspended from the Society. The deadline for debt payment is 31st March, 2008.
Next, we would like to emphasize another important subject. If you want to subscribe to the journal THYROID, please submit your request as early as possible. There are many problems with getting some journal issues from the Publishers (Mary Ann Liebert) when orders arrive after 31st January of the subscription year (2008).
Finally, we are glad to inform you that the Scientific Committee coordinated by the President-Elect, Hans Graf is working hard on the Scientific Program for the next XIII LATS Meeting (Gramado, Brazil, April 30 – May 3, 2009) and that some of the foreign speakers have already accepted to participate in our Meeting. Among Clinical speakers invited are John Lazarus (United Kingdom), Richard Kloos (USA), Suzan Mandel (USA) and Ulla Feldt-Rasmussen (Denmark). The Scientific Committee is in the final process to define the Basic Speakers
